I love to laugh and to make others laugh. I'm inspired by dance, music, poetry, and photography. I feel there is beauty in everything.  1-What’s the best thing about being an author?
hmmm *pensively assesses question* The best thing I would say is meeting readers who are so enthusiastic about characters I've created. They sit in my head and I take them to paper to produce a story and then bam! People read it and when readers say things like "I could connect with the characters" or "I loved so and so" or "it felt like reading the cast of friends" (which is my favorite show btw) it's leaves me completely in awe. Definitely my favorite :)
 Okay maybe this question is a little cliche but we'd like to ask it anyway.
 2-What inspired you to write your first book?
 Life experience. That's the best answer I can give. I always enjoyed reading and writing. I didn't realize how my writing affected others because I thought "Everyone can write, what makes me different?" Then life happened and I felt it in my gut that I had story to tell. If only one person read it and took away something, I'd be completely content.
 3-If you could change ONE thing about your novel, what would it be and why?
 The release date because it's soon and I'm maybe freaking out? lol jk :) I would probably change the length of time it took for Kennie to find herself. It took awhile because I wanted it to be a journey, but by book timelines, it can seem a bit like it's dragging.
 4-Are the events experiences of someone you know or they are just imaginary?
 It's a mix actually. Some of the story line is based on knowledge and some completely imaginary :)
 5-What was the hardest part of writing your book?
 A couple of things actually lol. I had a hell of a time with character names. Mackenzie's name I changed at least 4 times. My betas and critique partner would goof on me all of the time about it! And the other, struggling to get the emotion across. I wanted it to feel real. I wanted Kennie's struggles to come across and sometimes you have to find a different place to write it.
 6-Who's your favorite character from your book and why??
 Ooo you ladies are just plain cruel!!! haha i'm only kidding. I had a major crush when writing the Dean brothers but if I absolutely had to choose, I would say....Jax! He's so much fun and is so lovable and most of his scenes I would have a big smile on my face when writing them ;)

What a beautiful story!!

Left Drowning is an emotionally heart wrenching novel about the adverse effects of tragedy on the human spirit..

Reading about two broken people...is hard but I loved that!

It was so intense and beautifully written!

"I can't look at myself because I cannot stomach looking at a girl who has so little hope left,who is inexcusably weak.I'm humiliated by my own inability to do better."

The story starts with Blythe,who is at a point in her life where she is "left drowning".She isn't really living, she is surviving, but just barely...



She doesn't feel her emotions.She avoids them..It is too difficult to face her pain so she tries to ignore it..Unfortunately, she cannot truly move forward in her life. She's emotionally stunted and has no one that can pull her out...Blythe doesn't let anyone in and feels it is better that way...

"Even if I never speak to him again, I am grateful for this day, this one day when my misery lifted, even if just for a little while."

One day she meets Chris...
She sees him as he's skipping stones in a lake.She starting opens up to him like she's never opened up to anyone since both of her parents died not even her brother.Blythe cannot explain why it's so easy to let Chris in, but she does and he awakens her....



Chris has ended up at Matthew's quite by chance..He and his 3 siblings, Sabin,Estelle and Eric,are running..Running from their pasts...

Chris and Blythe both feel the pull,the need,the lust even love but neither understand it..All they know is the here and now and that now is perfect...

"Left Drowning" sure is a story about love,betrayal,pain and loss but it's also a story which celebrates friendship which shows us that there's a fate for all of us and that someone's tragedy can become one's salvation...

 OMG OMG OMG OMG AMAZING!!!! A badass alpha-male on a motorcycle!!!! JUST WHAT I NEED IT!! :D I am in love!!!!!!

 

 Marie has recently escaped from an abusive marriage and finds herself thrown into the world of the Reaper's... 

She discovers an entirely new world with Horse and his club and soon discovers a new side to herself....

 Yummm Horse was the ULTIMATE badass,sexy biker!He doesn't take any crap from anyone but he still has moments where he is sweet and gentle with his woman, Marie. 

  "I want you to be my old lady, babe. That's all I have to offer. I'm a Reaper, and this is my world. You wear my patch, you be my woman and I'll be your man. We take the good times together and fight through the bad times. No games. That's everything I've got and it's all yours if you'll take it."

 

 Marie wasn't bad either,she was a pretty strong woman,she was just very naive.Sometimes she was a little stupid for me but in the end I like her more!!

   

 I love the 

chemistry between Horse and Marie!!It was evident right from the start and it was sweet to see such a tough guy fall so hard. 

  "I'm not gonna let you go Marie.I'm keeping you and I don't care if I go to hell for doing it.I don't care about anything but fucking you." Marie and Horse made a very hot sex couple!!!And the sex scenes are the hottest of your life!!

 

 But it wasn't only a badass tattooed biker and his biker club that I loved in this book!Also it was hilarious!!I totally recommend it to everyone!!

Life is unpredictable, You are never prepared for what will happen. Life is unfair. Life may have won the battle but that I-I will win the war.

This book is the author's debut and it was really good. I loved almost everything about it except from the ending .Seriously , it's not the ending , it's me. I dont know why I hate it so much but thankfully there was an epilogue that saved me from serious frustration. Also it was a little slow in some parts but overall it was a great read. Melissa is a promising author and I'll gladly read more of her books.

The story 
Kennie has great friends , amazing parents and a protective brother .She shouldn't feel alone but she does. Incidents of the past are still tormenting her. The memories are haunting her and she doesn’t seem to have forgotten what happened to her .No one can reach the dark places in her mind and figure out what happened . They have no clue aside from the fact that her engagement failed. A guy broke her heart or he hurt her in other ways?

Drew is a friend from the past. He was her brother's best friend who had moved town and now after so many years he is back with his brother Jax. He has also a past that wants to hide and I have to give him the credits that he is doing a great job on this domain .Drew and Kennie used to be very close but now as adults things might be more friendly between them.

I'll help in any way to bring old Kennie back.

After all these years he can easily notice that something is off with Kennie. Those blue eyes are now lifeless , she is not the same and he is determined to bring her back.

My thoughts : Why I loved it? It's easy to answer, I could connect with Kennie. Kennie is not your ordinary girl towards whom you'll feel bad for what happened to her but you will sympathize with her. Truth to be told the final strike wasn’t what made her that way but the journey that she'd been through.

There isn’t a worst thing like psychological war.(Does it make sense to you , or is it completely Greek ;p). Most of us either have been through that sh*t or we had a friend that experienced it. I belong to the second category and trust me , it's awful to see your friend helpless knowing that you can’t do anything to help him/her. There is a point that you start feeling guilty yourself and wondering why him? Anyway, before you open your mouth you must think whether what you'll say will have an impact to the others life. Unconsciously we blurt out things without thinking because that's one of the man's characteristics but we won’t understand what it feels like being the victim if you haven’t been in that position by yourself.

How can anyone be good for me when I haven't figured out how to be good for myself?







Hmmm I saw somewhere that the next book is about Jax *grins*
OMG I cant wait!! I loved this guy. Seriously? Who can resist tattoos??Apparently not me....

We are shown the vulnerable sides of both men.Soren is a man who hurts and love with passion.And Kingsley may have the persona of a hard core but deep down he wants the love and devotion of the one person he’d only had for a short amount of time...Soren..



Kingsley, is in love with Soren. Always has been. And in Soren's own way he loves Kingsley aswell. As we learn more about Kingsley, we learn even more about Soren..
Soren is so broken,tortured.He had a hard life but it has made him who he is now...

I loved when they were together in The Siren and seeing them together in this again was like old times..I love their friendship and what they finally became..
Wesley is so sweet and cute!!I like their sex scenes!!

The Angel

OMG I want all of them!!!Can I have them???????It was amazing!!!

Definately Tiffany Reisz became one of my favourite author!!!She manage to make me think Soren not so bad at all!! In this book not only do we have the chance to reconnect with the characters we fell in love in the first book but also we have the chance to get to know them all better!! I love all the characters!!They feel soreal to me!! 

 

 Nora is back in her submissive role to Søren... You can just see and feel how much Søren loves her and cares for her.. 

“Jeg elsker dig. Du er mit hjerte.” I love you. You are my heart. "You belong to me...always." Always"

I even loved Soren after this book and I NEVER would have guessed that was possible!!!He was the only character that I truly disliked after the first book!But now what can I say about him???He was so freaking sweet and caring.He has offered to give up the priesthood for Nora and be there for her but it wasn’t enough for her and now we know why it wasn’t enough.. Nora is devoted to him and that will never change...

 

 There is a reporter Sussane who try to expose Søren and his horrific past and fetishes.. To avoid being an even bigger liability,Nora goes into hiding and takes the young Michael with her to Griffin Fiske's estate... So the three have a lovely summer holiday in which Nora undertakes to train Michael...

 

 I love both guys!!They are cute!Griffin is such a fun character and Michael is a sweetheart with a beautiful soul and like most teenagers he doesn’t know what to do with the fantasies that plague him... 

"I want to own you" Griffin whispered into Michael's ear. Michael smiled and for the first time in his life knew exactly what to say and how to say it. "You already do"

 

 Nora misses Søren and secretly misses Wesley..

 We also see a little more of Kingsley.He is very intriguing!I have had a hard time trying to figure out Kingsley.He had a huge secret exposed in this book..But we will learn more for him in the next book! (I can't wait to learn more about him!! :)) ) 

 Nora is still Nora and I love her!She's hilarious and sexy as hell!! 

 This book was just plain amazing!!It's absolutely one of my favourite books!!!

First of all , I can’t believe that I'm rating a J.L. Armetrout book with 4 stars.



It wasnt bad BUT Sydney was frustrating most of the times.

Secondly, shirtless guys should be banned.




Ohh WTH am I talking about?

The story: 
Kyler and Syd grew up together. They had known each other since they were kids and they were best friends. Now that they have both grown up things and feelings have changed. They are afraid to face or admit the truth but these two liked each other for a long time.

Kyler is your typical player type and definitely off limits to Syd .On the other hand Syd hates messing around with guys because that's not her character. An annual trip to his mum's house will bring them closer.


Since their friends won’t make it there due to the storm, they have to stay alone. Syd's mind is going cray-cray and she starts showing her feelings. Things are awkward, actually tooawkward but Kyler deals with them as he should and that's why I liked him.

The story is not limited only to the showing your feelings part. This couple is being sabotaged by someone. In the beginning nothing seems serious as it was expected to lose power but then it was obvious that someone was messing up with them.

Kyler : I liked him a lot. He was the definition of a manwhore but like all men he hadn't found someone who will care about. As soon as he realized that Syd was in love with him he started understanding his own feelings towards her too. Syd has a weird way of showing that she loves him but he doesn't want to treat her like some kind of a cheap date and that's one of his qualifications .Kyler always respected the females and Syd is not different. I loved the fact that he tried hard to gain her but the truth is that he never lost her.

Syd :She is the reason I'm rating this book with 4 stars. Ok I liked her but there were some moments that she needed some serious slapping.

I definitely get it when she is mad at him because he is fucking around. What I don’t understand is the fact that she was doubting him.
"What had he meant by that? Was he not planning to break the habit because he was still planning on sleeping around?"
Seriously??

I thought that she was sometimes acting like a child which bothered me a lot but thank God Kyler was there to save these annoying moments.

Overall : I enjoyed it a lot . It was a funny and an enjoyable book . Truth to be told it's not one of her best books but it wasn't disappointing either . I really liked the fact that Kyler wasn't the human version of Daemon Black , like Cam , but even if he was I would have still enjoyed it a lot.
