Andrew what can I say about him???I absolutely fell in love with Andrew. Even during the first half of the book his POVs were like a breath of fresh air. I was thanking Andrew for the words that start to come out of his mouth!!!And the things he did with that mouth... *sigh*

description

Andrew truly was just a beautiful character.I loved everything he did for Camryn, everything he was for Camryn.I love the people these two characters became when they were together. They not only complemented each other but fed each other’s desires and zest for life. The whole really did add up to so much more than the sum of each individual part.

The final chapters of this book were honestly what managed to blow it out of the water. I don’t think I even have the words to describe the impact they had or the emotions they managed to elicit. I actually had to stop reading a few times due to the violent sobbing that ensued. And even now I still feel their effect.

Fave lines:

"Pain is pain,babe."..."Just because one person's problem is less traumatic than another's doesnt mean they're required to hurt less."

"I don't think you ever really fall out of love with someone"..."I think when you fall in love, like true love,it's love for life.Alle the rest is just experience and delusions."

“What you wear really doesn’t matter much...All that matters is where you’re going and what you’re doing while you’re wearing it.”

"I could die in this bed with him right now, wrapped in his arms and I would never know that I had died"

Amazing book!!!!

Kayden: Come and see me. It’s summer and you’re off work. Come here, have some fun.

His text pulled me out of my sweaty naked fantasy, pulling me back to reality. Could I take that plunge? I didn’t want to be another fuck—meaningless.
Me: Feel like adding another notch to your bedpost?
My heart stopped as my phone began to ring. Kayden.
“Hey,” I said.
“Sophia, you aren’t a cheap whore. I’ve never thought of you in that way, ever.” I sighed, still unconvinced.
“Kayden, I didn’t mean to make you mad,” I said, closing my eyes, holding my breath.
“You’d didn’t make me mad at all, Sophia. I just want you to know how I feel, what I feel for you. For the first time in a long time, I look forward to waking up. I check my phone and message you before I even crawl out of bed.”
My stomach filled with butterflies, my voice quivered as I spoke. “It’s the same for me, Kayden; I just want to make sure I don’t become just another girl to you. I have to think about it.”
“Sophia, I don’t want another notch on my bedpost. I want to spend time with you. I want to show you this amazing city; you could use a little fun in your life—wipe away the navy blue.” Navy blue, I stopped seeing Bob weeks ago. I couldn’t pretend to be interested anymore. I wanted to be home to talk with Kayden, my fantasies and daydreams were far better than anything Bob could deliver. “I’ll keep my hands to myself… I’ll be a gentleman. Come on, just a weekend.”
“So you don’t want to have sex with me, then?” I covered my mouth. What the fuck did I just say?
“Fuck, yes I do,” he said, causing my core to pulse, “I plan on it, you won’t be able to resist me.” He drew out his last words, my body breaking out in a blanket of goose bumps.

EXCERPT

Alex grinned at me and pushed the phone away from our faces for a second. “I’ve got this,” he whispered. Pulled my hand that held the phone close to his face. “Yes, Bubby Sophie.”
“Perfect, Alejandro,” Nana said. “Are you in a romance with my granddaughter? You do know she is a shiksa, yes? It seems many young men of the Jewish faith will happily date shiksas, but not be serious about marrying them. Will this be a problem for you in the future?”
“Nana!” I hollered and collapsed back into my seat. I face palmed my hand into my forehead in sheer humiliation that only a family member could initiate.
Alejandro ran his finger over my cheek and traced my jaw. His fingers landed squarely under my chin that was collapsed in my hands on my chest. He gently lifted my head up. “Put the phone back toward me,” he whispered.
I blushed but did as he asked.
“Bubby Sophie?” he asked.
“I thought for a second I lost you.”
“You’re not going to lose me, Bubby. In fact, I can’t wait to meet you some day soon. In regards to your shiksa granddaughter? I’m crazy about her Wisconsin accent—”
“What accent?” I slapped Alejandro’s thigh with my free hand. He caught my hand and interwove his fingers between mine and pulled me close to him. Which meant I was practically sitting in his lap.
A man in a truck in the next lane honked, leered and said, “Get a room!”
I glared at him. “Get a life!” I struggled to flip him my middle finger but it was currently engaged and wrapped tightly next to Alejandro’s middle finger. He squeezed my hand and winked at me. “Ignore the assholes,” he whispered into my ear and turned back toward the phone. “I adore your granddaughter’s snarky sense of humor…”
I stuck my tongue out at him.
“… her beautiful dairy queen face, the fact that she’s girlie but still thinks football is important and her sheer determination to get things done. So, no, I don’t care that she’s a shiksa. I also don’t care that she’s stubborn and that she’s probably going to test me even further once I get off the phone with you. Can you live with that, Bubby Sophie?”
“Yes,” Nana said. “You seem like a nice young man, and I greatly appreciate you letting me practice my foreign language skills with you.”
“You’re welcome.” Alejandro smiled at me.
“I must run or I’ll be late for the sing-along in the lobby. We’re performing a medley of Michael Jackson songs this week.”
“It’s my honor to have made your acquaintance,” Alejandro said.
“And you, Alejandro Maxwell Levine.”
I leaned into the phone. “I love you, Nana.”
“I love you back, my favorite granddaughter.”
“I’m your only granddaughter.”
“I know,” she said. “Which is number six on my top ten reasons why I love you the most.”
She paused for a moment and I heard her breathing, hard and raspy into the phone. “Nana? You okay?”
“Never better. Just promise me one thing?”
“What?” I asked.
“Life is full of mysteries, odd twists and turns. You think you’re traveling down one road only to discover you veered off and venturing down another. One that is completely unknown. And the new road has no fancy navigation system, no streetlights, or signs and you have no reception on your fancy phone. What do you do? Tell me, Sophie. What do you do?”
Alejandro squeezed my hand. He gazed into my eyes for a second. Smiled. Then turned his eyes back on the road. A lock of his black-brown hair escaped from behind his ear and fell onto his high, sharp cheekbone. He lifted my hand to his mouth and kissed it. Softly. Tenderly. I broke out in chills. Everywhere. “What should I do, Nana?”
“Be kind,” she said. “Just be kind to each other.”
“Okay,” I said.
But she’d already hung up.

Unattainable review

First of all I would like to tell you that I'm obsessed with this series...but unfortunately this book didn't captivate me... :(( The story had a great premise..I really tried to like it but I'm not impressed! I hope the next book to be better!!!
My biggest complain is that I want more of Cage and Tegen...and that
the book also includes the side story of Ellie and Dirty and it ruined the book for me ...

Tegen loved Cage since she was 8 and as much as she tried to hate him after 16 she couldn't. ..She made the mistake of telling him she loved him after he took her virginity...

Years later they finally see each other again..and he apologised to her..
There relationship was always complicated and messy not romabtic ...

I didn't like Tegen in the previous book....and this didn't change in this book.. -.-
I hoped she would already get over Cage but this didn't happen ! I can imagine that it is hard to have your heart broken at such a young age but  she hold this on to a grudge!

 About Dirty and Ellie..

Ellie  is a friend of Danny and she goes to live with Dirty after he saves her from Daniel's almost rape. Dirty then proceeds to pull a gun on her in his sleep and he too almost rapes her. She runs away but after seeing him in pain, immediately comes back to comfort him.  -.-

I find their story doesn't interest me..and I skip some of their parts....

I hope the next book will be better!!!
And I can't wait for ZZ's book!I want a girl for him!!!

Darkness Before Dawn (Darkness, #2)

“I’ve loved you for half a lifetime, and I’ll love you for many more beyond this one…”

description

Darkness Before Dawn in numbers: 3 packets of cigarettes, 3 chocolates (I swear ,2 tissue boxes and tea…a lot of tea!)
I don’t know from where I have to start. So many thoughts and emotions!

The first book left us with a cliffhanger. And the second one is coming to blow our minds!!
All the questions you might have from the first book, are going to find an answer in the second one.Specially for Blake’s family. At some parts,to be honest,it’s kind of confusing. So many names and characters, but very soon everything became clear.

At this book, we are meeting a new character,Dean. This guy is fantastic!!So much charming and kind, that you are in a tricky dilemma between him and Cole.Frankly reminded me the feeling I had while I was reading the Twilling and its sequels, while I was between Jacob and Edward. But even Jacob was so fucking nice, at the end you are always in love with Edward!!

Concerning Cole, this character is literary Mr. Super. The best guy from all the books I ever read – and I read a lot, believe me. He is so charming! So sweet!
My heart just melted when he felt the pain and the lost of Blake and was alone. He loves Blake so much, that he could do anything and everything for her. He is the best ever!!

description

description

The end of the book is a really happy end. The best that you can expect! When you finish the book, you have a HUGE smile!!

Darkness Before Dawn is amazing and I didn’t get tired at all. I would like to say a big THANK YOU to Claire Contreras. Thank you Claire for giving me the opportunity to read your book before its publication! I really appreciate this!

There is no light in darkness review

There is No Light in Darkness (Darkness, #1)

5 STARS

A freaking amazing book!!!

description

There is No Light in Darkness is an incredible mix of suspense, mystery, plot twists, awesome secondary characters and a beautiful, hot and heavy romance!!

The author did a wonderful job with the storyline where it switched back and forth from the past to the present. The main characters rocked this book!!

descriptiondescription

I loved Blake and Cole together. The relationship between these two was both flawed and perfect to epic proportions!!I absolutely adored how willingly Cole exposed his vulnerability. And, the extent that Blake would go to in order to protect him however best she could had me rooting for them all the way through. There were some truths that were revealed and when they were exposed, I was gasping and aww’ing… I was a mess! Overall, perfect couple with their fair share of challenges.

description

“I'm in love with you, Blake. I've been in love with you from the moment I saw you. I've been in love with you from the day I was born and possibly even before then. I belong to you. My body belongs to you. My heart belongs to you. Please let me make love to you."

Cole oh god *sigh*!!He was seriously wonderful! He wasn’t perfect... but he was such a beautiful person and his love for Blake was moving. He was just incredibleand so sexy!!

description

I liked Blake’s character, she was strong. She looked out for those she loved and did what she thought was best to protect them. Aubry and Becky were also great! They brought a lot to the story.

The Dark Light of Day review and interview

5 DARK CAPTIVATING STARS!!

"I fell asleep that night in the arms of a killer.I'd never slept better."

"We were just us.Broken and bruised.Fucked up and messy. And together we were everything we never thought we could be."

Wow this book definitely become one of my favorites!!It is so intense!! The story of Abbey and Jake is different and captivating!! This book explores a darker side of humanity...it will captivate you!!I couldn't put it down!!

The Dark Light of Day is about Abby's and Jake's life...two souls that have lived through hellish childhoods ..

Abby is  17 year old.. had already been through a lot...her parents abused her... and she had never known what it was like to be hugged or kissed or even loved by anyone... Barely surviving her painful past, and now losing her Nan, the first person to actually care for her.. she starts to give up on life until she meet Jake...who gives her something to live for...

Jake seems to come into Abby’s life right when she needs him the most....But he has his own problem too..

"We're all a little damaged Bee.Some of us more than others."

his past mold him to become a killer for hire...In Jake, Abby finally found someone who will protect her. For the first time in her life, the person who is supposed to love her doesn't want to hurt and abuse her...

I loved Jake and Abby's relationship. I loved seeing Jake pushing her over and over to open up, and how he refuses to let her push him away. I loved that how he got close to Abby was by revealing things about himself. The way they got to know each other was beautiful.

Abby was so broken and even though she was closed off you could still see that she was strong and didn't take shit from anybody.
I loved  Jake so much!!He is a badass killer who rides a bike but he loves Abby so much that he would literally do anything for her...and I agree with him in the book  no matter how wrong it may be..... .

I absolutely loved this book because it was so different from anything else I have read. I never thought I would fall in love with these  characters, but they captured my heart!!

About this author

T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier resides in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and three feisty fur kids.

She attended Florida Gulf Coast University where she specialized in public speaking.

After years working in real estate and new home construction, she decided it was finally time to stop pushing her dreams to the back burner and pursue writing seriously.

In the third grade she wrote her very first story about a lost hamster. It earned rave reviews from both her teacher and her parents.

It only took her twenty years to start the next one.

The Dark Light of Day is her debut novel.

Determined not to wait another twenty years, T.M. is hard at work on her second book.

It will not be about hamsters
.

We interview the author and here is her answers!!

A big thank you to Pavlina for hosting me on her blog today!

1 What inspired you to write The Dark Light of Day?
This is a really hard one.  I started with an image of Abby in my head.  A girl who is an outcast.  I wanted her story to be about falling in love with a guy equally as broken as she is and about them not necessarily fixing each other, but coming to terms with the fact that they were both broken and dark, and accepting that within one another.  The first line of the song, Hell on an Angel by Brantley Gilbert, inspired me to write Jakes character.  I think about it as his song.

2 Are the events experiences of someone you know or they just imaginary?
The town of Coral Pines is a mixture of two towns where I live.  Cape Coral and Pine Island.  The actual events are all fiction. All of the people are pure fiction.  I've never been through half the stuff that Abby has, but I like to think she has some of my attitude. ; )

3  What was the hardest part of writing your book?
As I was writing I would second guess myself a lot.  "Is this too dark? Too violent? Will people understand Jake & Abby? What will people who know me think of me for writing this?" Finally, I just had to write it my way and pretend that no one else would ever read it. It was much easier after that.

4 Can you tell us about your current projects?
I have an idea that keeps morphing into something else, so I don't know a title or even what it will end up being about 100% just yet.  I do know that it will have the same tone as The Dark Light of Day.  Dark fiction is where I am most comfortable.  I hope to have it done by the end of the year and out early next year.
