What a lovely story! From the first page I knew this book would be as fantastic as it ended up being!! I was hooked from the beginning and I couldn't put it down till the end! Ginger Scott has this way with her books like How We Deal with Gravity,She took me on a heartbreaking ride! You may think it's like the typical books you read about the bad boy and the naive girl but this book is even more.. This book is about family,love and believing in yourself and in your dreams.




Kensington has moved to a new small town with her parents. When she meets her new neighbor Owen,soon she finds out that this boy is a trouble..as everyone is talking about him.Is this true? Or is there more to the bad boy facad. When things sre bad for them they find comfort in each other. And soon they become friends..

Owen didn't impress me at the beginning. I found him disturbing and the way he treated Kensington was bad. But while reading this book and seeing his life and what he'd been going through, you finally understand him you will see what an amazing character he is! He works because he has to take care of his little brother and to help his mother. I melt for him so much and I love him!! Behind this bad boy is a smart, sweet, protective, sexy guy. But he needs his time..He doesn't open up easily. But with Kensington he feels different.

Kensington has her own problems too. But with her sweetness and strength she will be there for Owen and she will help him! I like how their relationship developed. It's sweet and beautiful. The way they both support and care for one another showed true love at its best! I can see what made Kensington love him! I fell in love with him too!!




The writing was incredible.And I love how the story developed! Ginger Scott has definitely captured me with her story! Such a sweet, heartbreaking story! I highly recommend it to everyone!!


Interview with Ginger Scott <3

1 What inspired you to write this book?

It was a combination of things, but I think if I had to boil it down to

the core, there were three main characters or themes that pulled me to

write this story. The first was mental health. It's a subtle theme in Wild

Reckless, but one I wanted to explore in a really respectful and delicate

way. The picture of what bipolar manic depression is, of what

schizophrenia is, was a theme I've been wanting to explore more in a

story, and with Wild I wanted to show the ripple-effect that mental

illness can have, not just on those suffering, but their families,

especially when you aren't in a position where you can just throw money at

the illness.

Owen was my next draw. I had a vision of him, as a little boy, in the very

setting of the prologue, and I knew he had two brothers, loved his father,

and was the kind of kid who spent the day rolling around in dirt and

making airplane noises. I wanted to see what happened when that little boy

grew up, after something awful happened.

The last major inspiration was the town of Woodstock itself. My husband is

from the northern suburbs of Illinois, and Woodstock has always had this

certain allure for us. I wanted Woodstock to come alive and breathe just

as much as Kens and Owen and their friends.




2 Is there a message in your book that you want readers to grasp?

I hope there is a message of tolerance and looking beyond someone's rumor

to find their real story. And there's also a subtle suggestion to not let

fear guide your life, if you can help it.




3 Is there anything you find particularly challenging in your writing?

My goal has always been to write with honesty. Sometimes, that means

making characters do and say things that I know will make some readers

feel upset. I've gotten better at letting go of the worries, but I still

always have that little pang that says "oh no, don't make him do that.

People will throw their Kindles." What I've learned is most people will

pick them back up and forgive, and the end result is a really honest

character that lives and breathes more than one who magically does the

right thing all the time. Our human flaws are special, too.




4 Tell us five things about yourself that you would like your readers to

know.

- I began in journalism, and I use my reporting skills to round out my

characters. I paint them as if I had done days of interviews with them,

just as I would an in-depth story for the Sunday paper.

- I gravitate to sports romance because I've always been an athlete. There

also isn't a sport I'm not willing to tune in on ESPN. But baseball always

rules.

- Like Kensi in Wild Reckless, I too played the xylophone.

- I love getting email from readers - it makes my day!

- Of all my books, this one is my favorite. I know it's like picking a

favorite child, but I did with this one. And I believe in it so much. I'm

really hopeful readers will take the Wild Reckless journey with me.




5 What are you working on now? What is your next project?

I am finishing book 3 in the Falling Series (THIS IS FALLING and YOU AND

EVERYTHING AFTER). Book 3, THE GIRL I WAS BEFORE, is Paige's story, and

being in her head is a whole lot of fun! She's going to truly surprise

some people - she's strong, stronger than any female character I've

written. But there's more to her than meets the eye.
